A self-taught animal sculptor, Baron de Meester de Betzenbroeck is considered to be a sculptor of "movement and feelings". His works can be found in several Belgian museums: in Ixelles (Playing bear), Saint-Gilles (Sitting tiger growling), Mechelen (Ostrich of the Somali Islands), Liège (Two weeks old foal licking itself), in the park of Tervuren (Reclining hinds)...
Many foreign museums also preserve works of the artist: Paris, Lisbon, Oslo, Buenos Aires, Riga, Tallinn, Cairo, Mexico ...
One of the most famous works is his "Roaring Lion" located in the Malou Park in Woluwe-Saint-Lambert, facing the Boulevard de la Woluwe, a work that was commissioned for the Brussels World Fair in 1958.
