His love of art initially led him to work as an antique dealer. But in 1986, he decided to devote himself entirely to sculpture, with animals, both wild and domestic, as his sole theme.
He marvelously renders the expressions of animals caught in the act: anxiety, defense, alertness, tranquility, tenderness.
In his work, the bison leaps, the wolf is on the lookout, the bull charges, the cheetah runs, the owl looks surprised, the pandas hold a conference, the dromedary runs, the horse rears, the wild animals have fun, the cat lies down lazily...
Over the years, a consequent bestiary has taken shape, exuding strength and dynamism.
His sculptures assert themselves as pure movement, becoming the instrument and vehicle of an absolute perception of mobility, particularly well rendered in "La course du guépard".
This sculpture expresses an idea of movement that goes beyond classical ambitions for stability and unity.
The artist claims a rapidity of execution, being able to complete an entire sculpture in just a few hours.
His style is frequently compared to that of animal sculptor Rembrandt Bugatti.
