EXCEPTIONAL AND LARGE FLAT DESK STAMPED MIGEON Veneered on all sides with satinwood. It opens with three drawers in the belt. The top is decorated with a bronze lingotière in tan leather. Very beautiful ornamentation of gilded rocaille bronzes on the falls, handles and entries of locks. The bronze with the crowned C indicates that they were made between 1745 and 1749. Louis XV period 78,5 x 179 x 90 cm Condition of use and maintenance Pierre IV Migeon (1696-1758) is a master cabinetmaker and merchant. He was trained in cabinet making by his father and received his master's degree in 1725. The productions of this cabinetmaker are a clever mix between tradition and modernity. He worked mainly for an aristocratic clientele, including the Duke of Orleans and the Garde-meuble de la Couronne.
