FINE SILK GHOUM CARPET (IRAN), SHAH PERIOD, CIRCA 1965 Silk velvet on silk foundation. The field is made up of forty vegetal caissons, with floral decorations featuring botehs, vases, mihrabs, compositions and weeping willows, all in beautiful polychrome. The main ruby border features a succession of blossoming ivory corollas on interlacing stems. It is completed by two ivory counter-borders with garlands of undulating flowers. Nice presence.
