BOUKHARA CARPET (CENTRAL ASIA), EARLY 20TH CENTURY Wool velvet on wool foundation. A brick-red field hosts four columns of twenty-three linked "Tékké" gühls, interspersed with star-shaped secondary gühls. A very wide border with a series of polychrome rhomboid medallions with stars and "radiators", segmented by small pyramidal "kotchak" shapes, is flanked by four counter-borders with geometric and plant motifs and four tri-color ribbon highlights. Two multicolored "Élems" (reserves) composed of crocheted gühls complete the ensemble. A beautiful ensemble in warm colors. Dimensions : 302 x 208cm Good condition Sold by designation
