From 1911, she participated in the Futurist movement of 1912-1915, then in the creation of Rayonism in 1912-1913, a non-figurative movement.
In 1912, she and Larinonov rejected the Valet de carreau group, criticizing its subservience to French painting, while the couple advocated a more Russian folk art inspiration.
For this reason, in 1912, she and her husband founded the Queue d'âne movement, inspired by Russian and Oriental neo-primitivism.
Also in 1912, she exhibited for Le Cavalier bleu in Munich and in 1913 at the Der Sturm gallery in Berlin. In the same year, 1913, a major retrospective exhibition was held in Moscow, with a catalog numbering almost 700, followed in 1914 by a solo show at Madame Dobytchina's art office in St. Petersburg.
She showed her latest rayonnist works.
In 1914, she was exhibited at the Salon des Indépendants in Paris, alongside Michel Larionov, Alexandra Exter and Georges Yacoulov, thanks to the support of Sonia Delaunay and Robert Delaunay, approached by Exter.
In June 1915, she left Russia for good and lived in Switzerland for two years.
In 1917, she accompanied Diaghilev's troupe on tour in Spain and Italy, and settled with Larionov in Paris in 1918.
She became a French citizen in 1939.
