PAIR OF TOTEMS VADOR 2015 by Alexandre NICOLAS (1970) Carved from solid Emea wood (Ivory Coast), these totem poles have been buried to impregnate them with energy and give them an earthy patina. Carved in exotic Emea wood Signed and numbered: 5/8 and 6/8 The artist's certificates for each sculpture are included. Height: 260 cm Good condition, original cracks, 2 small sticks to be glued back. Sold by designation Biography: Alexandre Nicolas was born in Toulouse in 1970, where he lives and works. He trained at the Beaux Arts de Toulouse, graduating in 1997. He soon turned his attention to sculpture. He takes part in live performances at local events in France and Spain. During these popular gatherings, he creates large-scale ephemeral sculptures in wood, sand and ice. He cultivates his taste for staging and his fascination for modeling on raw materials. In addition to his artistic vocation, Alexandre works as a designer for prestigious companies: Airbus, Hermès, Canal+, Club Med... Today, Alexandre Nicolas works with symbols and myths. He interprets them, hijacks them and presents them, frozen in inclusion.
