VERAMINE CARPET (IRAN), LATE 20TH CENTURY Wool velvet on cotton backing. A brick field hosts a sowing of poly-lobed florets, interspersed with cruciform floral compositions, all predominantly bluish. They anchor a vast network of circular trellis, where a variegated bird or a speckled butterfly alternates with small spring bouquets. The main marine border is garlanded with sky-colored branches, from which vegetal corollas emerge. It is flanked by four cream counter-borders with garlands of flowers. Nice freshness.
