VASE "AUX FLEURS DE LYS" BY Emile GALLE (1846-1904) Vase from the Gallé crystal factory, in transparent glass, spherical, with a ribbed neck, decorated on the rim with brown-red Lily Flowers and a unicorn lion. Signed under the base "E # G filed Emile Gallé in Nancy" 1900's period H: 13.5 x D: 13.5 cm at the collar Émile Gallé, born in Nancy in 1846 and died in the same city in 1904, famous French industrialist, master glassmaker, cabinetmaker and ceramist. He was the founder and first president of the École de Nancy in 1901. He took part in the Universal Exhibition of 1878. His fame spread all over the world and he won four gold medals.
