IMPORTANT PAINTING "LE CAMP DE CHOISY AU BAC" BY LOUIS TINAYRE (1861-1942) Oil on canvas signed and dated "October 1914" in the lower right corner. 103 x 170,5 with frame Old restorations, scratches on the right. Louis Tinayre, known for being a painter and a reporter. Exiled to Budapest with his family, he studied Fine Arts. Then Louis Tinayre returned to France as a press illustrator and covered the military expedition to Madagascar in 1895. His watercolours, photograpies, drawings and paintings were shown at the Universal Exhibition in Paris in 1900 and won the admiration of Albert I of Monaco, who asked him to document his oceanographic expeditions in 1910.
