VERY BEAUTIFUL AND CORNERED MARKED REGENCY ATTR. A MIGEON In veneer marquetry adorned with large scrolled gilded bronze frame rods, with a double curved facade opening to two doors, resting on a scrolled plinth. Marble top (rest.). Restorations of use and maintenance of the veneers. Bronzes 19th C. Condition of use. 18th century period. H : 104 x W : 88 x D : 45 cm Les Migeon, a famous dynasty of cabinetmakers of which Pierre Migeon received Master in 1725, was one of the most appreciated cabinetmakers in the 18th century and still today for his high quality creations. In general, he is particularly fond of curves and likes to give a massive but elegant character to his furniture. He worked for a renowned clientele including the Duke of Orleans, the Cardinal of Rohan and the Duchess of Epernon. His works are notably exhibited at the Beauvais museums, the Petit Palais in Paris, Fontainebleau or even in Washington.
